 Since 1991, I have used ERwin's macro language to boost other people's productivity. Macros can be used for more than just complementing DDL, customizing triggers, or generating Validation rule based INSERT statements to populate new reference tables -- they can also be used to partially automate the generation of definitions for entities and attributes based on templates, generate SSD's for web applications, do statistical reports metadata models, and so on. From time to time, I have been asked 'Can you produce this out of ERwin?', and my answer has always ended being 'Yes, I can produce close enough to your specifications to help', because I had found a new way to leverage ERwin's macro language to save at least 70% of that person's time.
