Set the Maximum Length for Logical Model Object Names

You can set the maximum length for logical model object names in the database. If you enter an object name in a model that exceeds the maximum that you specify, the object name is truncated automatically.

To set the maximum length for logical model object names

1. Click Model Naming Options on the Actions menu.

   The Model Naming Options dialog opens.

2. Click the Logical tab.

   The Logical tab opens.

3. Enter the maximum number of characters that you can use to name logical model objects in the Maximum Length field and click OK.

   The maximum length for logical model object names is set and the Model Naming Options dialog closes.
