Set the Maximum Length for Physical Model Object Names

Every database restricts, based on physical storage limits, the maximum number of characters that you can use to name physical model objects. If you enter an object name in a model that exceeds the maximum that you specify, the object name is truncated automatically.

To set the maximum length of physical model object names

1. Click Model Naming Options on the Actions menu.

   The Model Naming Options dialog opens.

2. Click the Physical tab.

   The Physical tab opens.

3. Enter the maximum number of characters that you can use to name physical model objects in the Maximum Length field and click OK.

   The maximum length for physical model object names is set and the Model Naming Options dialog closes.
